Why would it not work on the older 2.4's? Cause I know Junior and Cookie and someone eles made it work on his 2.3 and it is not able to work from GM's standpoint.

If it was going to take them the next 7 years to sell them, the costs of keeping a warranty system active for them and the costs of having to actually fix 10 year old cars is insane.

nope if you read the warranty card carfully, they say you dont get a warranty if your car has over 60,000 miles on it. No matter what.

and they wouldn't warranty the supercharger itself because the car has 60000 miles?
What about someone like me, my car is ten years old and has 27000 miles?
What does the warranty card say about those to situations?

What is going to happen when you need replacement parts for the supercharger? Since they destroyed all of the kits i guess you're screwed.

The chargers can be rebuilt, there are a few advertisments on here that i've seen and i've called up the company. What they'll do is send you a rebuilt GM Charger and you must send yours right after that. There is a $700 charge along with the turn in, but the company takes it apart, inspects the rotors and changes some or all of the internals basically refurbishing the kit......

I don't remember the site off hand but here's the number if anyone wants to check up on it.

better not be.... we won't wait forever.... turbo kits are available at our finger tips already.... just click and order.... if GM don't get the media ball in motion soon and create some form of hype, we'll all be turbo'd by the time the damn s/c comes out for the 2.2 eco...

did anyone find out IF gm has stoppped making the sc's or not? if not.... have the prices changed or still the same. i would think if theyve stopped making them that they would cut the prices down on them due to the fact that they need to get rid of them.

Here's my take on the whole deal. Could be off... This is just my take tho. With the Cobalt SS coming out GM want's you to buy that for 22 g's instead of a 5g or less charger. Personally I'd like to spend 5g's or less to be just as fast 22g's.

Ok. I went to the dealer about 45 min ago and talked to my buddy. He said they said production was stopped. He said that GM has about 275 in the warehouse. He said dont worry about it because there not moving fast. I know from expirience that they wont go fast because this is the only dealer i went to that knew about the charger in the first place. Its not advertised so only J owners on forums know about em. My budy has one on his 98 Grand am. It was a custom relash. I can get the charger, installation, and 40,000 mile warrenty on the charger from my local dealer for 2,200. And about the 750 gm destroyed. They wernt all destroyed. My local dealer was givin 5 of them to install in 02 leftovers and for there own showcar. They raffeled a GM supercharged Z in early 03. I didnt win though. DAMNIT!

This isn't the firts time this happened with a GM/Magusson/Eaton SC kit. Etaon/Magnusson had a kit for 1999 and newer 3400 OHV engines, you could get from GM. They are in high demand for the n-body (Grand Am & Alero owners) but very few exist, less than 20, hence GM cancelled them and stopped making them with Eaton/Magnusson.
Be thankful there are still a few left in existance.
