best A/F ratio reader for ur money?

hey guys,

im getting ready to button up my rebuild project and i was wondering what u guys recomended for my air/fuel ratio reading. i know that a wideband setup is the way to go, (which is prolly what i will do if i can come up with the money), but i was wondering, if i just hook a air/fuel guage up to my stock o2 sensor, will it even tell me anything? i have heard that they are in accurate and just bounce around alot since the stock sensors on our cars only read about 4 to 5 times a second, compared to a wideband which reads anywhere from 10 to 12 times a second. i am pretty sure i will have my air/fuel retion pretty close with 440cc injectors and a vortech fmu along with a adjustable fpr but i would just like to have something to watch. i dont wanna go through rebuilding this engine again, even though i will have forged internals now and i should have no problems, i still would like a decent guage to watch for my air/fuel reading. i found some wideband kits on ebay, here is the link, would this setup work on our cars?

why not just get a normal wideband with a gauge and put it in a pillor. I think those thing would be a pain in the ass to watch and for the same money you can get a nice wideband. just my thought

PLX M 300. That is what I am using and it is a nice piece of equipment. It has a narro band out put for the stock computer to read as well.

Speaking of computers and 440cc injectors, What are you using to reduce fueldelivery?
Because surely at wide open throttle with no boost it will be way to rich. What is the rising rate of the FMU? Depending on the FMU ratio you may be to rich under boost as well.

www.wbo2.com if you're decent with a soldering iron.

$165 for the kit and another $35 for the sensor from 1stvwparts.com

Doesn't have a display for that price but a computer will be able to chart a graph via rpms with it.

A display will knock the price up to $240.

I've built one and sold it. I'm not building another as soon as I get it in the mail. Wonderful unit provided you can solder.
