Caleb,
You're right about our web site lacking good information. My sons and I
bought Cavalier Connection from Mike Clements back in November and have been
working ever since to increase inventory levels, do some R&D on potential
new performance products AND launch a new & improved web site. We're a
little behind schedule on the web site, but getting close.

We are also waiting on 2.4 down-pipes and intercooler piping from our
manufacturer. I know the 2.4 down-pipes will be shipped to us this week (so
we'll have them early next week at the latest) and I do not yet have an ETA
on the intercooler piping (but am pushing them to get it here ASAP). We
should have 6-7 down-pipes on their way and we have about 3 orders for 2.4
kits waiting on them. Out intercooler kit DOES include all piping.

Here's some info on our kits (that WILL be on our new site):

We offer turbo kits for 2.2L, 2.4L and Ecotec Cavaliers & Sunfires. The
kits include everything you need: (Garrett) T3 turbo, header, down-pipe,
charge pipe, (Bosch) blow off valve, (Tial) waste gate, (conical) air
filter, hard water line, turbo oiling kit, vacuum lines and fittings,
installation instructions and all mounting hardware required. The kits are
true bolt-on installations requiring the usual hand tools (socket set,
wrenches, pliers, etc.) and basic-level mechanical skills - no fabrication
or multiple strips to the parts store. The base kit is designed to run 4-5
pounds of boost. The kit is capable of running higher boost levels but,
depending on boost level desired, it may be advisable to also use our
optional fuel injectors, auxiliary fuel in-line pump, adjustable fuel
pressure regulator and probably one of our intercoolers. In some cases,
depending on engine type/condition and boost levels, it may also be
necessary to install stronger pistons and rods - which we also offer.

Our base kit currently sells for $2,495 USD. We are contemplating a price
increase soon since we've recently upgraded to some higher-grade components
and hardware - which cost us more, but the higher quality and better
durability are worth it for our customers. But since we haven't determined
or published our new price yet, you can still get the improved base turbo
kit at the current $2,495 USD price. Also, strongly recommend opting for
Jet-Hot coating of the header and down-pipe for better durability and
appearance. The Jet-Hot increases the price by $250 USD. So, a kit without
Jet-Hot coating is $2,495 + $50 UPS shipping (or $2,545 USD total) and a kit
with the Jet-Hot coating is $2,795 USD including shipping.

We have all the components in stock right now for the 2.2L and 2.4L (EXCEPT
for the 2.4L down-pipe - our manufacturer is making a batch now and we
expect them in a week or so). We are also within a week or so of getting a
new batch of Ecotec headers/down-pipes because we just sold our last few.
Our intercooler kit runs $995 USD. We DO have the intercoolers themselves
in stock, but are also waiting on an order of that tubing from our
manufacturer. We anticipate a couple of weeks before we get the intercooler
piping in. We've had a lot of orders for kits in the last few weeks and are
having to push the manufacturer of our piping parts pretty hard to keep up
with us!

We can take PayPal orders over our website. We also take MasterCard,
Discover, Visa, Amex, etc. (This isn't an option on our current web site
because we have a new & improved site coming out soon with all that on it).
But to order with a credit card, you can either call the order in
(501-851-0349) with your card number & expiration date (it's OK to leave
this information on our voice mail if we don't answer) - or - fax it to us
(501-851-2832) - or - email it to us at sales@cavalierconnection.com.
Please be sure to include your shipping address (and credit card billing
address if different), phone number, and name as it appears on the credit
card. Also be sure to include all the information about your car (year,
engine, etc.) on the order/email/PayPal please. We do NOT charge your
credit card until the all kit components are here, boxed up and ready to
ship to you. We'll email you the UPS tracking number when we send it too.
We normally ship UPS Ground and most orders will arrive at your door within
5 business days of shipping.

No, they just don't sell the crap that so many Jbody owners have gotten used to expecting.

And you would know how?? You own a DSM.

I say that their stuff is overpriced for what it is, and I own everything that has to be fabricated by them. Very little R&D was put into their products, they threw it together to make it function, and thats what it does.

This is Leo from Cavalier Connection. We actually put quite a bit of hard work and R&D into our kits. We own a '99 Cavalier 2.2L daily driver with one of our kits and use it as an R&D car. We also own a road-race Cavalier and will be building/installing a naturally aspirated 2.4L in it. And, we have an "in the works" drag Cavalier that we're building a turbocharged Ecotec for. We believe it's important to have hands-on experience with everything we sell. Through that experience, as well as listening closely to customer feedback, we continually work on tweaks and improvements to our kits to make them perform better, install easier, last longer and even look better.

We serve ONLY the J-body market and intend to stay that way. We believe domestic sport compact enthusiasts will be best served by a company dedicated exclusively to developing/offering kinds of products widely available to the import crowd. We spend quite a bit of money buying and trying various parts to make sure they meet our quality and performance expectations before offering them for sale to our customers. We're very committed to delivering good price/perfomance value to our customers by constantly working hard to make sure our raw materials, components and labor represent the right balance of quality, yet affordability to our customers. We also pride ourselves in always treating our customers the way we'd want to be treated - with respect and honesty.

We're working on a new & improved web site, some exciting new products and some operatonal improvements to make sure we can respond quickly to emails, phone calls and orders. We're not quite where we want to be yet in all areas, but are spending lots of time and money to get there as fast as possible.

This certainly isn't the easiest or most profitable way to run a business. But we've been hot-rodders for a long time and have dealt with the best and worst of companies over the years. We keep going back to the best, and are quick to abandon the worst. Our goal is to become THE BEST J-body performance company and EARN your business, respect and loyalty with the value of the products we sell and the way we treat our customers. In the long run, we believe we'll all benefit and intend to prove that to you in the coming months and years. Thanks! - Leo

The kits CAVCAN made BEFORE the company was sold sucked. I know b/c I bought one and the header cracked twice. It never fit correctly either. I've have had nothing but problems w/ it and the OLD owner.

However, w/ this e-mail that was posted it seems CAVCON has come along way w/ their customer service. I hope the products have started getting better along w/ the customer service. Good luck Leo.

Wow, if only I were a single man who made plenty of money.
My wife wouldn't be too happy with me spending that money on a turbo setup when we have a 14 month old baby and 500 a month rent.
