A quick injector question:
Monday, March 07, 2005 8:50 AM
I somehow confused myself, and now my head hurts and I can't search anymore.

So: For a boosted 2.4L, good injectors are in the 30-35# range, and high impedence. I keep seeing these low imp. brown tops, and I'm all confused, 'cause one post says to get them, another says that they'll fry your computer, and now my brain has stopped working.

I'm looking at <a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7959280194&category=33554">these injectors</a> at the moment.

HORSEPOWER: Injector # / hr (cc / min)

100: 15 (158)
150: 22 (231)
200: 29 (305)
250: 37 (389)
300: 44 (462)

just depends on how much power you are tryin to make bro. i would get yourself some 390cc injectors out of any 1st gen DSM automatic. they are all over the place. If you get the bluetop 450cc DSM injectors, make sure you have a way to tune them because you will be running WAY too rich.

KC, that chart is fantastic, thank you. I'm shooting for about 200, so 30# is straight for me. But... if I could get some junkyard injectors, that would also be fantastic. Are there any other injectors that are closer to 305cc that you know of that'll be possible to find in a junkyard?

And, P&N, it is low? I'm looking at the Haynes, and it says just 11-13ohm in general, which I think is high... like I said, I'm all confused. Which years are what?

Thanks a ton you two.

'96-'99 are low impedance 24lb/hr, '99+ are high impedance 19lb/hr, that's why you've heard conflicting stories.

15.3 @ 89.97mph, 14's on the way?

For Sale:
'01 SFGT springs $50CAN
Getrag '00-'02 2.4 8000kms $800

it's always better to go over. just in case you want a more aggressive tune.
