With the e-manage and support tool, what does the injector harness give you over not having one? I have looked around but couldn't find any info on this particular question. Thanks in advance.
i don't see how it gives you more control then what you already have, it just alters the map signal, how does the injector signal give you more control?
So with out the harness, I can still get the 16x16 map? I don't think I need to change pulsewidths
You have 3 (for us) 16x16 maps with the emanage when using the support tool. One for airflow signal adjustment (alters MAP signal to PCM), one for additional injection (add injector pulse duration), and one for ignition timing control (requires ignition harness).
The Injector harness is necessary for boosted applications so that you can add MORE fuel than the PCM is calling for. You only use the airflow adjustment map to "trim" fuel out, used so that your car still idles and transitions smoothly with your new oversized injectors.
