Can a stock 2.4l spool a t04e?

When I say spool, I mean efficiently. I don't mean I want the turbo to hit full boost at 5500 rpms. I would like to know whether or not the motor can efficiently spool a t04e size turbo without playing with flow through the head and such.

I have the opportunity to purchase the manifold flanged for a t4, and I'm looking to make big numbers so a t4-style turbo seems about right for my power intentions.

Thanks.

depends on the a/r on the turbine housing. and also how big of numbers you really want to make. it would take forever to spool a big a/r t4 turbine. that's why there's the t3/t4's. with the smaller t3 turbine it spools a lot quicker and with the bigger t4 compressor it flows a lot more. if you're starting off pretty much stock, i'd use a t3/t4. then if you really wanted a bigger turbo after building up the engine, you could always get a t4 turbine and swap it with the t3.

T04E = T3 flange.
