only Gm dealerships can do it, most of the time they wont do it unless you bought the Gm charger, otherwise expect to pay anywhere from 40-100 dollars.

I have a 99 alero...but i wouldnt think the ecu in an alero would be that much different than that of a cavy..i've heard possibly gear ratios are different but thats it. would that affect the reflash at all?

I might be wrong, but i think you can only do it to 2000+ jbodies, alero's and grand am's with the 2.4L engine

Yes, Freebs is right, you can only do it to the 2000+ cars, since the 99-'s had a different computer setup than the 00+'s

Is it ONLY for the 2.4L or could I have it done since I have a 2002 SFI(2.2L)?

It is only for the 2000+ 2.4L engine, will not work on the 2.2.

It allows the 2.4 guys to use a 2 bar map sensor and the GM supercharger injectors without an FMU or adjustable FPR.

I am using one. There is no proof of it doing anything. But on jeff filkins dyno sheets it looks like it automatically raises fuel pressure according to boost psi from the two bar. and i beleave that it also pulls timing too. But noone knows for sure what else it does. I bought a complete reflashed pcm from a jbo member with a auto charger reflash. I got lucky as heck. And yes I am turbo . First automatic to have the reflash with a turbo setup. As far as the 5 speed guys i think there were only a few before me. Brian speedracerZ. Jeff Filkins. kane5576 , me , and maybe a couple others that are turboed and running the reflash... All the others run it on the supercharger. It is only for 2000 + 2.4 Liters automatic and manual have different flashes too.... Hope that helps. Good luck finding someone to do it.

Yea the re flash also changes the timing when the engine starts to receive knock... not until your getting over 6psi though (i got that info from a buddys dyno sheets with the 6psi and 8psi pulleys, as there was like a 2hp gain from 6-8psi because he was getting knock)... then you need a way to cool down the charged air... like alcohol injection or Nitrous
