Interest in Turbo Kit - $1895!!
Friday, March 18, 2005 12:23 PM
Hey everyone!

Our new J-Body Company (Cavalier Extreme) is now offering the Base Turbo Kit for an extremely low price (and for a limited time). Right now, I'm trying to see how many people would be interested in purchasing this kit. I spoke with Dave, and we might be setting up a Group Purchase for this, depending on how many people are interested.

This Base Turbo Kit will fit both the 95-97 2.2l and 98-99 2200 motors for the Chevrolet Cavalier. This kit is intended to be run at approximately 5psi, but can be boosted more if you purchase the proper fuel requirements. We realize that the 95 and 99 motors are different, which is why we are including a different manifold and gasket for whichever kit you purchase. This will work on both standard and automatic transmissions, and is comparable to the Cavalier Connection Base Turbo Kit (despite the different manifold). Everything is new and includes the following:

-Garrett T3 Turbo with internal wastegate
-Log Style Manifold with Mandrell Bent Corners
-Bosch Blow Off Valve
-6 Pipes, 6 connectors, and 6 clamps
-3 Foot Braided Oil Feed Line
-Oil Return Line
-T-Fitting
-Manifold Gasket
-Air Filter
-All necessary hardware and wiring, brackets, etc.

If you are running 5psi, the standard rating will be a 50 horsepower gain. As mentioned, you can always up your psi by purchasing more for your turbo kit.

Note: The following pictures of the Garrett T3 turbo is a USED turbo. What YOU will receive will be BRAND NEW and NEVER installed on a vehicle.

Also, we do not offer the downpipe with this kit. That is the ONLY item you will need to have custom-made for your final install. Any exhaust shop will be more than happy to do this for you (at probably only $100 more or so, depending on the shop).

If you need anymore information, you can check our website at:

http://www.cavalierextreme.com

The site is currently being redesigned and will be rereleased in just a few weeks, so stay tuned.

If anyone has any further questions, comments, or concerns, I'm open to anything. I'm also prepared to hear everything from "You don't know what you're doing" to "I love you."

Thanks for all of your time and patience.

Whoops!

Forgot this information:

Price: $1895.99
Shipping: $49.99

Group Purchase #: Depending on how many people are interested and what kind of response I get. I might say I only need 5 people to get it at this price, but it might be 10. We'll see, and I'll keep everyone posted.

Thanks!

New product announcements, and group purchase interest posts are allowed, as long as people don't start making a list, and the person making the post is premium (for now, until business memberships come out).

All those pics are like pics off of Ebay including that description! Are you the same guy that is selling the stuff on ebay or what? Have you installed the kit on the two different engines? What grade material is the mani made of? Any specs on the turbo itself T3 is just the flange size isn't it :/) Can you buy things seperately? And I'm guessing no intercooler? All I can think of for now

N2O + Bolt-ons = 220Hp/250Tq

We will soon be selling things seperately, yes. Also, I've teamed up an alliance with the guy on ebay, which is why I only have the picture of the manifold from the ebay picture. I'm waiting on it to come in for the kit, so that way I can take a new picture.

No intercooler, but I'll get the specs on the T3 here in just a few. Thanks.

I'm not a fan of Exploited but I will defend Brian.

1. The kit is insanely overpriced. The parts included are worth no more than $800.
2. The manifold is crap.
3. The parts are crap
4. No dyno proof, no care.
5. Brian knows what he's doing, he may suck at business, but he makes good stuff.

1) My cost is actually a lot more than that. If you've found everything cheaper somewhere else, I'd love to know.
2) From what I've heard, the manifold works fine for everyone. Most people like it.
3) The parts are ...not really crap...
4) I just opened up. Just because I don't have a dyno sheet doesn't mean I dont care.
5) No comment.

Your manifold sells on ebay for about $130-160

I can find a turbo like that for $200-300

I can find intercooler for cheaper or same price.

Those other parts shown are worth about $80

Only cool thing you could possibly have is full intercooler piping, which I'd have to have a muffler shop make.

I think its quite obvious what he means. Only a child would take it to mean no money is concerned. Kind of a declaration that customers won't be required to finish or modify the products they buy.. Don't you think?

Yes i agree with CavX... F*(k let this guy start up his business.... he needs to start some where... he isnt going to have every last thing on his site or info that you want when he is first getting started... And for the price he is offering i would love to see if you could find all that for cheaper... and maybe you can, so dont be an ass hole about it and tell frankmckeever where your finding it cheaper...
I would buy a kit from him if i had the 2.2L and didnt already have supercharger on my 2.4L

wow i got a warning for this... anyways....

Heres the breakdown of this guys turbo kit...

Manifold
$190.00

Turbo
$340.00

Piping/Hose fittings
$135.00

Oil Lines
$80.00

T3 Gasket
$11.00

BOV
$20.00

So there you have it.... If anyone wants to buy this guys "turbo kit" just goto each of those pages and purchase it for a GRAND TOTAL OF $776.00 SHIPPED

Now where the hell does this guy come in marking it up $1000.00 and sending you a bunch of junk?????? I could do the exact same thing!

Im not jealous here, just mad to see someone that had no idea what there doing trying to sell the un-educated public junk and make hella profit off of it.

I didnt even profit $1000 of my stage 4 turbo kits when i sold them!

If he acually knew what he was doing he would know that, that blow off valve will not just fit right into that piping, you need some type of flange for it to connect to. and wheres the instructions? and the vacuum lines? and at least a flange for the downpipe!

Comon now people... lets get serious here and keep low quality products off the market.
