MSD MAP ?
Monday, April 18, 2005 1:13 PM
Okay, on the 2200 motor, you can't get a reflash... so could I install a secondary MAP sensor in my manifold via a new port or a vacuum line teed to it? What i'm saying is if I just put the 2 bar MSD map sensor and hooked it derectly to my MSD DIS 2 and not to my cars PCM would the MSD retard the timing automatically and not interfere with my stock PCM?

If you get the MSD sensor and hook it up to a DIS2 Programmable then it can retard the timing automatically without affecting the PCM at all. If its programmed to do so.

THis may be a stupid question but I'll ask anyway. Will that same priciple work the same for the qaud motors...specifically the 2.3L's????

So can I put in the port where my stock 1 bar map is, or do I install it in a vacuum tee or something?

you have to tee it.
it doesn't replace the stock sensor.
and it does nothing for fuel. just timing

Sweet, thanx... BTW I have RC370 injectors tuning with the S-AFC2... I just wanted to make sure it would work this way.
