t04e or gt35
Tuesday, February 05, 2013 8:42 PM
Anyone running either of these on an eco? I was told the t04e was to small and would run out of power... i dont see how when my current turbo does the job and a .50 is alot bigger... im just worried about the gt 35 being too big to spool and make usable power wjth a 7k limiter... not both are turbo chargers emusa make and i realize they arent garret but i need a t3 for break in and to drive the car for a whole summer then im gonna go with a garrett 3076... i know jap crap turbo isnt the way to go but for the price and the maybe 3 months the car will be driven its worth a chance...

Just honest opinions about the turbo in ? I realize the obvious.... but the gt35 seems like the best choice if its too big the 3076 will just fit into the power range bettef

What's your power goal, fuel system setup and engine build going to be?

T3/T4 57 Trim, .63 a/r. will pull hard all the way to 400.

and agreed. save the money you would waste on an ebay turbo, and wait for a good one.

Normally i would be and sayjng the same thing to someone that posted about cheep knockoffs but i either build an engine and use a t3 or i buy a scrap engine and use my lnf turbo... the engine i have now has a ticking nois and i dont see it lasting a whole summer so i gotta do it this way to at least be able to drive the car... eco's are kinda pricey in my area they still want 800 for one with over 100000

Ill be running a T04E on my car. Its not a tiny turbo my anymeans. Plenty of people run T3 super 60's on their Ecos and the T04E is definitely bigger than those. Just make sure to get the .60+ AR

Its .50 on the cold side.. tbh turbo numbers dont make sence to me haha i know the bigger the ar the longer it takes to spool and obviously that means it will make more power but the tech side of what it really means i never got... i know the gt 3076r is what i want

Well i called precision and to my suprise i didnt even get a automated system someone answered the phone... he suggested the pte5831 so i may have had my mind changed depending on the money situation at the time..i know my plan is 400 no matter what.... with the 5431 he said at the least id have to run 25 psi... was hoping to only be around 20-22 but boost is just a number i guess...

Seals going out of it.. my return was kinked... blowing oil like crazy and its more expensive to get the seals replaced than to but a cheap t04e For the summer... plus im going t3 anyways so i can start now and just replace the turbo later...
