6 hours alone in -10 degree weather.

You ziptie the valve by ziptieing it

Just push the valve open with your hand and tie it with the other.

Also, make sure you clear the radiator hose from the path of the belt. I sliced mine in two.

You dont need to ziptie anything open. I did mine in about 6-7 hours and I drove to the dealer shifting at 2 - 2.5k . No problems at all. Just dont go above that and youll be fine.

really? Only 6 hours? So maybe I can put one on my 98 Z and just swap it back to stock come Cali smog time? Doesn't sound so terrible.

Never EVER use air to tighten....only to loosen.

Get yourself a medium size torque wrench. Buy it from your local auto parts store and return it when you are done.

Also be extremely careful putting the new injectors in. If you pinch an o-ring between the injector and fuel rail, you'll cut it and have a massive gasoline leak.

I'll post more when I can think of anything else.

You shouldn't have to remove it come Cali smog time, hell you even get CARB stickers saying it's legal or what not in Cali.

Install took me roughly 6 hours too, @!#$ around with friends even.

He's throwing it on a 98 Joe. Wasn't meant for the car.

While it's good to know that the SC works well without a reflash, I thought I saw someone post dyno charts once showing a 10-20hp or so increase with the flash?

Bumping up an old message, I know, but can one really drive the vehicle to the stealership rather than towing it after the supercharger's installed, by cable tying the bypass valve and/or taking it easy? Doesn't that risk damaging the engine, and doesn't it void the warranty?

I've got sort of the same question. is it possible to get the re-flash before you install the supercharger?

I'm hoping to get mine re flashed on a Saturday and driving a half hour or so to pick up/install it on a Sunday, would this be a bad idea?

After more searching I found some people drove 2+ years without having it reflashed. Reflashing tunes it better and adds about 20HP supposedly, but you *can* drive it without reflashing. So I'll be driving mine to the dealership.

Same guy that started this thread, man this was awhile ago lol....

Just hook up a boost gauge and make sure not to go over 0 and you'll be alright. Then drive it to the dealer and get it flashed, or find someone in your area with HPTuners and have them flash it....
