Limited Slip Diff. for 2003 Cavy
Wednesday, March 02, 2005 8:33 PM
I did a quick search on the forums and a more extensive search on the rest of the net but the ony LSD's I can find are for the pre-Ecotec Cavy's/Sunfire's! I cant find one anywhere for an 03?!?! Anyone know where I can find one?
Sorry if this has been posted before cause I couldn't find anything about the 03+ J's.

Quaiffe makes one, its only like $8,000 too!

Seriously, I think thats the only one, I don't believe there is a phantom grip insert thing for the Getrag.

i have a 02 cavi with the ecotec and getrag 5-speed and have the phantom grip in it with the heavy green race springs. Your car should be know different than mine. We also might be able to get a LSD out of a cobalt SS but don't know yet since the car has not been released yet

The LSD from the cobalt SS is the Quaife unit, and it will work in the F23 Getrag (Jbody) as the diffs are the only interchangeable part between the 2 tranny's.

Both my front wheels always spin in the snow on my 04.

spinning in the snow is complete different. They are both going to slip in the snow anyway, so it is not a good judgement. Do a burnout on the bare, dry road, and I can tell you the passenger side wheel will spin before the driver's side ever does. The LSD will help this and allow you to get better grip and traction especially when cornering.
