Tranny wont go into gear:S

I was driving today and when i went to shift from 2nd to third something went wrong, i never heard n e noise but i had no gears at all.... i called double z and he said that theres a pin in there and it can be fixed.. is there a how to on how to fix this or if anyone else had the problems, cost, and part numberS?

can you put it in @ idle not moving or with the car off?

time for a new trans, something let go internally crappy deals, best bet is to just get a used one as taking that one into the shop to get overhauled would probably cost more.

alright Manitoba Motorsports.....

think about ut before posting.

ok if it doesnt go into gear...does it move liek it will or is it loose......i.e. can you make a big wide open circle with the shifter...or will it just not go into gear

if thats the case its proally just a shift cable....or if you installed a short shifter it came undone down near the linkage.

So if the throttle cable pops off my throttle body, does that mean I need a new engine?

Seriously...

Yeah, sounds like your shifter cable popped off or that pin broke. Its actually a pretty simple fix either way, just have to replace the parts. It could have either popped off on the shifter itself, or the transmission. Easiest way to find out which one is to take out the center console and see if the cables are still attached there.

okay heres the deal... no trannys fine.. the roll pin that connects the shift link to the actual tranmission rod thingy.. <*add technical term here* it sheared off on both sides and it was not grabbing.. so.. got the roll pin out.. gonna go to a dealer and get one tomorrow.. quick and well not so quick but easy fix.. thanks guys..
