I can honestly say that it was the worst feeling I've had in my car, going for third, and not being able to take it out of second. That sucked. I was leaving school, and I was pulling out of the gate, went for second, and it sounded like I'd never driven a stick shift before. Then I went for third, and knew what it was immediately. Putted it around the block in second, and pulled it apart. Getting a new set of cables from GM Tomorrow. I've never had quite so many people ask me where my battery is before. I wanted to be like "Um... I lost it going down the road. Direct result of the shift cable breaking"

any advice on replacing them. Someone has done it before I'm sure. any pointers other then just pull it apart and figure it out.
