Spec Clutc slave cylinder questions
Friday, April 15, 2005 4:24 AM
ok my Spec clutch kit came with the slave cylinder and i remeber reading or hearing that the Spec slave cylinder was garbage because they dont last and they leak or something like that.
well i dont know how true that is or if naybe that person installed the slave wrong or had a defective one or whatever.
so my question is should i use the new one from Spec that came with with the clutch or should i buy a brand new GM slave or can i re-use my original? my car only has about 18,000 miles on it.

thanks in advance

I dont know how junk they are, but I used the one they gave me and its been fine for me. I dont know how the GM one would be any better.

The spec one is a GM one...acdelco is a certified GM parts distributor.

soooooo.....

hmmm. NO problems with mine except that it is a little noisy when it is cold outside.

If you look at the slave cylinder you should see that it is the exact gm part....it says gm on it. I've had mine in for 25,000 miles now with no problem.
