With the welded spider gears in the differential essentially what you are doing is making the transmission a positrac, meaning both front tires will provide power to the ground, great for racing applications. HOWEVER! also you have to remember that you are still welding the spider gears, meaning, your welding the gears that allow you to turn easily. Think of on a rear drive rear end, when cornering say making a right hand turn, the outside tire(left side) speeds up slightly and the inside tire (right side) slows down slightly, allowing the car to turn nice and smooth. When welding the spider gears together you are not allowing the transmission to do that which would inturn give you a harsh tire scuffing and chatter when making any sort of turn. If your thinking about doing this on a street car i wouldnt recommend it, i would definitely consider a LSD!

I don't think he was talkin' about the differentail. I sure he is only talkin' about the mount.
