I am so confused and ive searched and cant find it anywhere. I've heard so many names for the transmission thats in my car. My car is a 94 cavi automatic. My shifter says p r n d 1 2, so I know its a 3 speed. My transmission says hydramatic, which doesnt suprise me it being a GM. over on the passenger side it says 125. is it a thm125 or is it a hm125 if not what is it?

If at first you don't succeed, get a bigger hammer

There was only one 3 Speed Auto tranny used in the J-Bodies. It is the TurboHydromatic (THM) 125C also known as the 3T40 in the '94 and later models. The original TH125 came out in 1980. Later GM added a Torque Converter Clutch, which is used to lock the TC for better gas milage, and renamed it the TH125C. In '94 it was redesignated the 3T40(3 for 3sp., T for transverse applicatons, 40 fo the load capacity, which is the lowest).
