is there any transmission work that should be done when adding more horse. besides clutch and flywheel what other things would help shifting or health of the tranny.

At least change your fluid with synthetic. Red-line, Mobil1, B&M trick shift (i think is the name). There is a short throw shifter made by B&M that can be installed. Transmission mounts to help distribute more torque to the wheels.

Not sure how well it works or anything though.

id be careful bout changing tranny fluid...from what a professional transmission shop told me when they replaced my third gear synchro, that the Getrag Trannys can only use a certain type of Tranny Fluid (Only an OEM GM Part) correct me if im wrong but thats from what i heard. i dunno bout other cavalier trannys though..like the 95-97 or 98? i think. not sure
