anyone running stage 3 spec?

Just got mine in yesterday and am in the breakin in point. I put on a lower engine mount when I was downt there too. Now in the process of relearning the clutch right now cos man is it sensitive but I'm sure that ill love it in about a week. Also seems like got some more power out of the eco as well. Not sure if its all the lower engine mount or a combination of the two. So what do you guys think about it that are running them?

I have a SPEC IV, its hard to get used to. I only have about 100 miles on mine, its hard to drive it slow, so i drive fast all of the time . At the same time we also installed a SPEC alum flywheel, together what a difference

Im OUT

Go with the 3, i just finished breaking mine in tonight.. its crazy how mucht he clutch feel changes in those 450 miles... Anywho, now its sweet, engages really really hard so its not exactlyt he best for a smooth shifter but i love mine. Easy pedal and not hard to drive...

it can grab fast......just pay attention, i found that you just gotta come off the clutch a lot faster than you did with a stock clutch

Well mines completely borken in now and you don't even notice it when you drive except when you want to race someone. The stage 3 is not just for the strip. Its easily street as well.

I have a spec stage 3 and spec alum fly wheel. I love mine. Break in was almost un-bearable. There is almost nothing to ride at first beween not being used to it and not being broke in. It is pretty difficult to ride the clutch, take offs are either very slow or very fast if you want them smooth. I will never go lower than a stage 3 in this car again.

How much faster are the revs on the motor with the light weight flywheel

I have a stage 3 and i love it. It is streetable. I had no problems with it from Day one. Took about an hour to get use to the clutch for me. My wife has not problems with it.

Fly wheel is good. Rev fast but it drops fast as well. Sometimes drops faster that it on occassion the car cuts out because of the fast drop of the revs.

Thats odd that it drops fast. Mine drops slow. Lighter things fall slower....

You must be the only person i know with a fly wheel that doesn't think the RPMs drop faster. That is why some people say it is hard to keep in the power band some time because if you don't shift quick enough it will drop you out power band to quickly.

I've got the RK flywheel and a Spec stage 3 4 puck. I just got 450 miles on it (finally) and I don't notice the rpm's dropping fast at all. The only thing I have to do different versus the stocker is rev to about 1500 when I'm first taking off to make a smooth take off. I also don't have balancershafts any more , don't know if that makes any difference or not...

Greater intertia will keep the flywheel in momentum though right. A lighter object is subjected to the same opposite force that the heavier flywheel is so in theory it should drop slower and rev faster. But i dont know i dont have one. Plus the tach's in the cavis are slow as piss if you have an aftermarket tach you'll see a big difference.

A lighter flywheel will rev faster AND drop faster... Think about it, the lighterflywheel will not hold the engine back as much, and when you let off the gas the lighter flywheel will not have nearly as much "Stored energy" as the heavy one, so it wont be pulling the engine around nearly as much as a heavy one would.

Look at it from another way... a car with stock 15inch alluminum wheels will be WAY easier to stop than the same car with 18inch chrome wheels (same tire diameter) but weighing 20 pounds more for each wheel... more stored energy in those big heavy monsters.
