If anybody goes to him make sure you tell him Josh sent you. I dont get a kick back or anything but I would love for him to know I am bringing him buisness.

As of today (11/25) I have not driven the car anymore than taking it to S&R performance the day I picked it up. It shifted clean and firm on the way there and the entire package picked up boost really nicely. It felt great mashing the petal and feeling that boost kick in for the first time.

I wont have any updates for probably a month or longer. I have a huge laundry list of stuff this shop is doing before she makes her final trip back to clearwater and back to the body shop.

Coming soon:

3" exhaust
3" down pipe
open atmosphere dump pipe
braided stainless return line (from FPR to GM quick connect to tank)
new polished intercooler piping (re-ran for better smoother flow)
125 shot direct port (already owned just needs install)
cryogenic intercooler set up (already owned just needs install)
custom fan setup for trans-cooler ( 4x 80mm 12v fans w/custom shroud)
Intake manifold w/ 80mm LT1 throttle (hopefully)
new tires 215 45 18's (current set up is 215 35 18)

Then we will swap the injectors back to my RC 650cc injectors and finish the tune.

unless of course they are less restrictive and allow more power to get to the wheels?

yea i guess it truely does depend on your application and i know in my case im going for alot of power so im trying to do the best i can to get my auto ready for said abuse

this is what i ordered

http://www.importperformancetrans.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=1972
Quote:

IPT performance transmission rebuild kits feature the same parts that we use on our in shop custom transmission rebuilds.

The complete overhaul kits include all necessary seals, gaskets, filters, shifting bands, friction clutches and steel reaction plates that are required when rebuilding transmissions.

We utilize only the type of clutch and reaction plate material that we feel is best suited for each particular unit.

The kits will enable the do-it-yourselfer or repair shop to achieve transmission performance and durability when used in conjunction with one of our modified valve bodies and custom torque converters.

i had emailed IPT and confirmed this does come with aftermarktet clutch packs and provides truely everything to do a rebuild

i also ordered this
http://www.importperformancetrans.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=1878
Quote:

rand new GM solenoid, modified by IPT to provide increased line pressure rise and response.

so this ontop of the auto mount and the torque converter should be pretty good

Damn sounds like i started a trend... JK that rocks! I figured every one would say I was nuts for spending nearly $4K on my auto tranny but glad to see others are following suit. (I paid to have ALL of the work done, plus i ordered the modified valve body, had the tranny cryo-treated and had some other things recommended by my tranny guru and I took his advice) (I do not EVER claim to be a mechanic, just wanted to state that so no one gets it twisted)

Good luck folks!
