can anyone give me a rough estimate on cost of a full tranny swap, from a 03 4 speed auto to a 5 speed manual?

i dont know about your area, but here in iowa the hardest part is finding a 5 speed donor car, they all go straight to the race track. ive been searching for about five months now with no hope

Yeah... Im interested in the same... And for the first time in my life ive seen a cavi with the five speed... The automatics are so popular... Honestly i didnt know til i joined jbody that they even made cavi sunfires with sticks. Im also in the iowa area btw.

Try searching on car-part.com to see if there are any transmissions around your area.

You may have a hard time finding a shop that will do the conversion though, too much of a liability if something breaks.
