Perfection Clutch Kit, slave cylinder went in 5 miles!!!!!!!!!!
Saturday, July 02, 2011 2:50 PM
So i have a 2000 cavalier, with a stock 2.2, got a new clutch kit from napa, its a perfection brand. Picked it up at the garage and in 5 miles sitting at a light the slave cylinder went then dragged me threw a intersection with on coming traffic! Was wondering if anyone has used this brand and had any issues?

Thanks Paul

Same with me -TWICE! It's my wife's 2001 , 2.2L cavalier , all original.
At 125,000 miles, I installed a Perfection part number MU70315-1 clutch kit to fix a worn out clutch.Three days later (less than 50 miles.) , The wife says:"The clutch pedal stays down!" The slave cylinder had started to leak all over our new (GRRR!) asphalt driveway.
Brought the kit back, got a new clutch kit, this time the clylinder lasted maybe 200 miles. I'm looking at dropping the tranny a third time...NOT FUN!
I'm definitely going with another brand. Any recommendations?

Any one else? Please let us know....

So... is there a reason you posted the exact same thing that you did a couple weeks ago?

I'm guessing you didn't bleed it properly.
