My car is a 2000 sunfire 2.2l with the 4 speed auto in it. it runs pretty good for having 173k on it but the transmission slips on it every now and then. it only slips when the motor starts to bog down a little bit and i give it more gas and it will downshift and then its fine. whats this a sign of? transmission starting to go? needs rebuilt? fluid change? would the electronic transgo shift thing help it out any?
