Got under the car yesterday and noticed that it is slightly wet on the passenger side of the transaxle (4T40E auto) and can see about 3/16" of the green seal. It isn't dripping fluid excessively (not visible on ground after sitting) but I do have a vibration when accelerating from 4k plus, not in the lower RPMs and no grinding noises. Wondering if the vibration is from the seal coming out and if it is something that needs to be addressed now or can wait.
Anyone? What would make the seal come out in the first place?
Do you also notice any noise or vibrations when you turn the car? Maybe you need an axle shaft and the excessive play is causing problems? I have next to no experience with that tranny so I could be way off.
