LD9 OEM flywheel

anyone know where I can get a new oem steel flywheel for my car? I'd like to get rid of my spec aluminum flywheel due to being boosted and over 400whp honestly I don't trust it with that power level.

Have it lightened a bit if you can. I believe the stock flywheel is 19 lbs - I had mine lightened to 11 lbs but you can stay conservative and bring it down to maybe 14-15 pretty safely.

Mine is about 12-13 lbs too. I will have to weigh mine to be sure

why do you say its "too light". i honestly didnt even notice a difference in how my LD9 m45 revved up after the 5 speed swap and aluminum flywheel. you might feel as though it revs down too fast... easy fix, dont take 45 seconds between shifts.

this hatred towards aluminum flywheels around here as of late has me puzzled.

I didn't notice the problem with the over revving until I went from supercharged to turbocharged. the supercharger puts a strain on the engine which helps bring the rpms down a lot quicker. not so much with a turbo. I also have issues when I come to a stop from decelerating. the car just randomly stalls and I never had an issue with the stock flywheel. with the combination of deleted balance shafts, an aluminum crank pulley and the aluminum flywheel there's not enough rotating mass on the crank for me. I'd like peace of mind knowing my flywheel is solid when I break the 500whp barrier. I don't want to have to pull the trans again.

im lost, im pretty sure most, if not all the 500whp crowd around here ran/are running aluminum flywheels. its not going to rip apart because its got 500whp lol if you got a bad one you would have ripped the center out with stock whp. so id say yours is probably good.

I gotta be honest the next time I crack mine open I'll be putting the stocker back in. The fidanza gives me all kinds of idle issues especially with the AC on. I honestly just don't like the way it feels. The motor feels almost out of control and doesn't like to play nice in traffic.

EDIT: This is for an l61 though, not an ld9.
