I have a design for the TH-125c, but nothing machined up. I never received a diff from that trans to test fit anything.

I'm currently out of F23/F35 inserts, but I have a couple Isuzu inserts left.

well I am getting my tranny replaced with another th-125c if I can get them to take the diff out of my old one u can have it. i'll even send it to you if you get me a good price on mine ...but really I can probably get a lot of people to buy them. I am def going to need one after my 3400 turbo build. maybe start a group buy on v6z24 for the older j bodys.

Hmm....my pin looked the same way and that was out of a trans with 14K on it...Should I be worried? Everything else looked brand new inside.

Is it true that the Phantom Grip diff wears out quickly? also does the transmission have to be totaly
taken apart and out of the car for the team green diff to be installed?

The Phantom Grip and the Team Green LSD are essentially the same thing... just the TG one has even stiffer springs in it than the GP option. There isn't anything to wear out... it puts more pressure on your spider gears, so they theoretically *could* wear more, but I think they wear less as they won't slip....

Yes, it has to be totally taken apart, out of the car... the differential needs to come out and have the insert installed into it.

Go to the PG website if you're unsure of the installation: http://www.phantomgrip.com/tech_tips.htm

so pretty much to install into the getrag transmission, you need to take apart all the case bolts, and pull the plug that is about 2" from the input shaft. (replace this piece part# is earlier in this thread) we were careful and got it out undamaged. Not sure what size hex that bolt is but it is NOT 12mm, I bought a 12mm and it is WAY TO BIG, I think we uses a 3/8" extension with no socket... or something like that anyways.

anyways, once you got that out, remove the two c-clips, and then the VSS ring (make sure to put on straight once done) then gentlely press the blocks in, make sure the little metal pieces are all accounted for before you put the diff back in, oh and cut the ziptie before putting it in.

what size for sure is that hex bolt as im doing the install this weekend and i want to have everything ready

thanks
