the car that the prototype is in has been down since february.
I'm actually working on it at this particular moment.
once I get that car stabilized, the shifter goes back up in priority. I have been thinking about ways to make the manufacturing process a lot easier on my end.
I know this is taking forever, but please stay tuned. Coming soon, I promise.
Yay! Glad to hear you just hit a snag.

You drive a cavalier? Why yes... yes I do.
holy @!#$, is that real life? Brian, did you ever find a place to order that? so if it works for an F23, it SHOULD work for my car? Looks like it would sit INSANE high though.
Found it online, trying to convert it to dollars but its either, $1680.25 or $1.68
I have a feeling its the first one lol

1.119,23 USD shipped is what they emailed me back.... OUCH!
That's a hell of a price tag for a shifter and cables! It is nice though. I'm sure PJ's would be just as nice and a fraction of the cost.

yeah, dont get me wrong, that one looks BAD ASS, but its huge, would have to be cut down and SOMEHOW modded to fit the console if we wanted it to. I know I would attempt to slim it down to fit under stock console but odds are that would be damn near impossible
any updates?? i would love to buy this the second it comes out if i have the money when it does
hmmmm what about just buying the cables vince? they look way beefier than stock...
I choose the technology built for land speed records... not the technology built to save on emissions and gas mileage.
B&M sells cables that would work for us.
I may try to use them instead of using stock cables... may make fabrication of the shifter itself way easier for me, but also more expensive for you guys and a bigger PITA because the grommet on the firewall is going to have to be replaced somehow (it's not removable from the stock cables).
as a side note:
the prototype still shifts awesome. There's a little bit of slop in it, but I think one of the jam nuts loosened up and that's it. It's still way tighter and shorter than stock.
when I went from my stock isuzu car to HavBlue with the PowerShifter, it was ridiculously short by comparison.

Having seen as many cables break as we have, uprgrading those would probably be just as, if not more worthwhile than the shifter upgrade.
You guys really have no idea how short the throw on this thing is. I had to drive Blue home from the bar one time because PJ had a little too good of a time, and I was constantly double-checking I had it in the right gear before I let off the clutch lol....I call it "stupid-short".

Don't spend $1,200 on a CAE short shifter....

HOLY @!#$ THAT THING IS COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On another note, in the spring I'm gonna work on getting a "Mad-Dog" SRT-4 short shifter working in my car. My buddy has one he doesn't want, from a quick glance they are very similar and an all metal base, so I can cut/weld/drill if needs be.
The throw between gears is approx. 1.5-2" total, they also have a rod brake. Hands down best shifter I have ever used in a FWD car and running up in best shifter I've ever used of all time, and I've driven pretty much everything.
I like the upgraded cable idea, idc if its a little more work. If it helps move this quicker I think its the best thing ever lol.
I hope you could get that to work Newt. I was super impressed with the one my buddy has too.
Still waiting for this! dying... slowly......
