i didn't get a chance to test out the new mods yet because my car ate its fuel pump. new one is on the way.

I'm looking to start a GP early next year so save your christmas money boys. As soon as I get this sidearm doing what I want we're ready to rock.

Awesome, I made my arm flex quite a bit quick shifting to 2nd to not get t-boned the other day. Thought I was going to break the damn thing off.

Any update on this?

Would like to see if the Isuzu shifter will get built, and if so I'd like to get one.

works way better now, but small issue with the sidearm bearing. nothing production versions will worry about tho.

I still have yet to get my hands on the isuzu equipped car.

I vote get the getrag made, then produce them. Then take one of those and use it to work on the isuzu.

^Werd, get some out into the world. The second batch can be Isuzus.

I think I might be down for this.

I'm definitely interested. Have to see how the funds are when the GP goes up. Best idea I've seen in a long time!! Keep it up!

I can't believe I just found this thread, fail on my part. Awesome work PJ, money ready whenever you are. My wife refuses to drive my car because the shifter has so much play making it too hard to drive. I have a fidenza short throw, that has taken 5 years of abuse.

5. Shawn McKenzie (insert something clever)

Hey there Pj. I've been lurking around this thread since it's creation. I am glad that you are making a quality replacement for the stock plastic shifter. I destroyed mine after installing a knock-off B&M short shifter. I managed to crack the base. It has since been replaced, but I like your design much better. I hope to get in on this gp, but I am unable to commit without a firm price. Keep up the great work.

im in, i think i already stated that...might even just get the getrag version and modify it myself to work in my 95, save pj the trouble ... it might even help him along with getting the isuzu versions out who knows

^I was mulling that around in my head as well...

well, in reality i dont have an isuzu, i have a getrag, but i currently have the stock 95 shifter assembly, unless the cables are different for the 00+ im not sure where the problem would be if were talking about replacing the ENTIRE shifter assembly

can you get me a picture of your assembly with the center console off? I wonder if the 95 was different somehow.. because looking at the 00-05 assembly vs. the isuzu assembly, there is no way hooking one assembly up to the opposite transmission will result in a normal shift pattern.

hooking up isuzu to a getrag trans from what I understand, would cause the pattern to be backwards...

instead of
1 3 5
N
2 4 R

it would be

5 3 1
N
R 4 2

I forsee the posts now:

Alright guys heres the issue wth my trans. Its starts fine, but then to start going I have to really slip the clutch and its really really sluggish until I hit about 50km. Then 2nd gear makes a horrible grinding noise if I try to switch into it, so I usually skip it. 3rd works fine although it usually jumps really hard into gear as if I was downshifting, 4th has no issues, and 5th makes my transmission explode. Reverse goes forward, WTF?!

Trouble is I bet you'd be shifting 1st to 4th all day at the track for a while.

Looks great! Maybe if the getrag gp goes well you can have a isuzu gp afterwards ?
