does anyone know where to get a short shifter for a 99

Just cut your factory one to the desired length you want. That is what I did. The shifter knob is only pressed on. Mine is shortened by 1.5 inches I believe. You can also cut it and weld threaded rod on there to use other screw on shifters. A lot of people have done that.



On the inside my car looks like a fighter jet.

ebay has them, B&M, regular ebay cheaper ones, and there's a 3rd brand to and they have a good reviews on this site. Its the next item I order.

That doesnt make it a short shifter.
The geometry below the fulcrum changes on a real short shifter.
All you changed was the throw that your arm moves, the linkage is still moving the same amount.
