18x8 Focal F04's on a 1.5 inch drop, question.

First post here, so sorry if it's kind of stupid.

I have a 2000 base 2dr cav that currently has a 1.5 inch drop. Just bought some 18x8 Focal F04's. The tires will be 225/40/18 and I'm wondering if there is going to be any additional work to be done once i put the rims on? ex: trouble turning, rubbing fenders, etc...

What's the offset of the rims?

Hmmm I know the 16x6 rims have a 47 offset... most people typically that I see have a 35mm offset on their 18's I'm not a genius but I would say you're safe as long as you're not going to drop it anymore than it is anyway... Best bet, bolt them on, sit it down do a short drive test and listen and feel for anything abnormal lol

Well, i don't plan on taking it any lower. I'll just have to get em on and see what happens.

if anything you may need to get spacers, so be prepared just in case... with spacers you may need to get longer studs

You should be fine. I have a 1.7" drop in the front and have 18x8 with 35 offset. I still have some room to play with. Currently no rubbing or anything.

Fwiw willtheyfit.com says my current wheel/tire setup will hit the strut but it doesn't... Not a bad reference but just know its more of an educated guess than an absolute.

"The strut shown in the diagram is for show only - Don't worry if the wheel looks like it fouls!"
