15x7 Basset Backspacing with slicks?

I need slicks BAD. Traction is impossible until 75mph. Was considering 15x7 5x100 4" backspacing with some M/T 24.5-8.0-15 ... Looking to be as inexpensive as humanly possible. Should I go to 15x8 i'm afraid they may not fit. I have KYB AGX with EIbach Pro kit if that helps. Any thoughts or other options please let me know... IF you have some used Let me know. i'm in NH

It looks like 8" wide is the way to go... Can I fit 8" wide with a 5" backspacing? or what backspace would fit?

Bassett wheels on a Jbody

Also - what do you have done to your car that makes traction impossible until 75mph?

I have an LX9 Swap with a 100 shot of nitrous and a few bolt ons. I sheared an axle the first time out at the dragstrip... Not doing that again.

I found that thread on the Bassets just before I posted this thread. I wonder if the 4" backspacing they offer wouldn't stick out so far. I don't like that look with the tires sticking out of the fenders.

I would do a multi stage n.o.s. set up start 40 then at 2 gear shoot 60 gives that quick traction take off then really go when in second gear.

With my 225/50r16 michelin pilot sport a/s i dont get traction in first without nitrous. Shift second and it spins through the entire gear. Chirp third turn on the spray and spin all the way through third. Finally traction around 80-85 mph.

I need slicks lol. But jts fun!
