17x8.5 with 35offset

I had a 2004 cavalier ls sport I just ordered Bc extreme drop coilovers for. I'm looking at order rims while I'm waiting for them to come in. The rims I'm looking at are 17x8.5 with a 35mm offset. I have no roll or pull on my fenders. I was wondering would that be flush or would they stick out? If those will stick out what would be flush. I want to get a good flush stance. Thanks to everybody for the help.

They'll hit the struts. 8" wide and 35mm offset is just a hair from hitting. A 8" wide wheel with a 35mm offset and a set of 245 tires will give you very mean stance, but you will have to roll the front fenders at least to keep from cutting the tires. Anything smaller than a 245 on a 8" wide wheel just screams "I like things in my butt".

Here is what 17x8 with a 35 offset looks like on a 245/40R17 tire. Car is on TEIN SS Coils and has fenders rolled up front. No spacers/adapters simply bolted to stock knuckles.

Nice look but must be hard on the wheelbearings assembly

Haven't had any wheel bearing issues after a full season of autox on a similar setup as above (17x8 +35 with 245/40/17). Now on 255's with a small spacer up front and still no bearing issues. (Sadly no full autox season this past year on the 255's)
