My mill actually moved when the hole was going in. For the burrs and what not, I will take care of them for sure.

I can most definitely make it work, I'll hit it with the dremel to elongate both holes. The bushings in the heim joints need cleaned up, I can hit those up too. Just some FYI for later bars. I'm not mad, and I can make it work, but I don't know how happy other people would be if they received it as/is.

This is an issue that OEM needs to take care of before things are shipped out.
Quality control.
I had that issue with the camber plates but made them work and let Mark know about it for future reference.
I hope you're listening Mark because some may not be as congenial with their parts when they get them and don't fit right the first time.
Other than that, great products, and we're appreciative of the things you do for us Mark.

I already talked to Mark about all of my issues and Lanman's. They're all simple little things and he said they'll all be corrected on the next bar made.

They shouldn't have happened in the first place thought. If Mark knew the one hole wasn't centered, why was it sent out? Not everyone has access to different types of tools.

Loudcav, if you have a moment can you run out and measure how wide the car is from the plastic by hole for the seat belt bolt, to the other side....Just want to confirm that the 03-05 sunfire is the same. Thanks

I just measured it finally, sorry about the wait: it's 43.75-44" from side to side at the center of the seatbelt bolts.

Got damn that bar is huge. Any way to get a smaller diameter bar made? Also the seat belt holders look huge and bulky as well. I'd be interested if the small issues were corrected, and if the bar was scaled down some. Check out the ones on ebay to see what im talking about.

my concern would be what will this do in a accident? is it strong enough it will stay rigid or will the belts bend the bar where there mounted to it? have you actually tested it?

Re: Feeler: Harness Bar GP

No, I have not crashed a car to test the bar, nor do I think the Ebay bars or even Sparco has. All pieces are 6061 so they are strong enough to hold.

You shouldn't be using this on the street anyway, the people I've know that have had them only use them at auto-x as the factory belts didn't hold them in place well enough.

gotcha, Mark i'm not saying wreck a car lol. But say if it was bolted down and just tested with some pulling.. just curious if it would hold up but I guess i didn't realize you can't use this for everyday use.. kind of assumed that people were wanting this bar to replace their stock belts because they had racing seats and couldn't or didn't want stock belts.

Re: Feeler: Harness Bar GP

Stephen, you can use this to allow you to replace the stock belts, but without a roll bar it would almost certainly cause a (most likely) fatal neck injury in the event of a rollover due to the fact that your upper body can't move if/when the roof collapses in.

Also, to simulate the impulse that is created during a crash would take a very impressive piece of machinery to say the least. I have a full shop at my disposal with just about everything you could think of (we have lathes and mills both cnc and manual, every piece of ndt testing equipment you can think of, a lift being installed, full welding lab with everything you could want, full automation lab, full destructive testing lab...everything) and we have nothing that could exert that kind of force in that short of a time span. You would have to create a custom machine to do that, and have a pretty impressive rig to hold the bar while testing it.

Yes Brad, they are. Price should be on the website soon. For fitment, just look for my review earlier in the thread, it has it all in there.

Look at the start of my review too. I haven't even tried to bolt it in, needs some work to get it to that point.

Check out our J-Body harness bar; it's probably more along the lines of what you're looking for.

Wait, you mean the one that according to the web site is discontinued and is almost $400? And also you really shouldn't jump into someone else's thread like this trying to steal business, that's messed up. PM the guy if you have a product suggestion for him.

The first two bars were built off a rough jig. Now that we know where our faults were, we fixed them and know what to change for the better.

Yes--I'm referring to the 100% stainless steel harness bar we designed that conforms to racing regulations. It shows as discontinued but we still make them upon request. I'm not surprised you don't like the price; but if you knew anything about fabrication, you'd know there were around 200.00 in parts alone in this piece. Furthermore, it takes hours of work to smooth out the finish and fully polish it. If you'd pay closer attention--rather than just jumping down my throat--you'd also know that WHITECAVY doesn't like the design of the bar and that OEM can't accomodate his request.

I'm not even remotely trying to steal business, but thanks for the heads up

My car is still in the shop believe it or not, so I can't put it in quite yet. I'll let you know fitment and all that good stuff once I get it back.
