Dash swap

So i got tired of having my double din head unit on the bottom of the dash there and staring at the crack at the top of the dash so i went to the u pull it and got a 00+ dash and out it in. Here are some pictures of the process that you have to go through to get this to work with a older gauge cluster.

Problem with the gauge cluster fitting and the modifications that you have to do to get the older cluster to fit:

I did have some fitment issues with the dash pad, i used the dash pad from the older dash. I was wondering if they changed the dash pad at all when they went to the newer style dash? I also changed my HVAC and cluster bulbs to red LED's, ill get pictures of that later tonight when it is dark enough to see.

You cut out a hell of alot more then I did to get the old cluster in the 00+ dash.

Also the dash pad was the same never changed for the cavys.

DId you have to change the HVAC controls or anything else?

No you just move them.
