Tricks to remove ebrake assembly

I'm swapping my ebrake assembly out for a different one and curious how to get enough slack on the cable to allow me to remove the cable from the ebrake assembly.

It's giving me grief.

Either disconnect it from the rear axle cables (under the back of the car), or pull it tight, then grab the wheel with a set of vise-grips, but out of the way of the cable so you can slip it out without the wheel turning.

It's a pain, either way. I've put Sunfire GT ones in all my Cavaliers... (5 so far) simply because they're leather wrapped
