I have to replace my driverside power mirror but how do I disconnect the wires connected to the control located on the trim?

the wires run further into the door. You will have to remove the door panel to get to the plug. The plug is normally clipped to the door panel a little further into the door.

But how do I get those wires off that piece of trim. The wires are shot, an old guy cut to close to my lane at a red light a took of my mirror. Now it's just hangin off my car by one wire and only the base of the control wires are still connected to the control knob.

You have to take off the door panel as mentioned, or since it needs replaced anyway, cut it. I take no responsibility.
