looking to install a/c in a sunfire with no a/c

I have a donor car with all of the plumbing. I would like to install a /c in my 01 GTX That does not have it. So far I have the compressor, lines, condenser, and the button that turns it on in the dash. I did not bother with the evaporator. Can I simply remove the dash and stick the evaporator in my 01? The extra wiring I can do, but is there anything else I need? The donor car is a 98 sunfire

You might need the computer flashed to a program with AC. There are DTC's associated with the AC system as well as the AC system triggering the cooling fan and such.

A/C control is done by the Body Control Module (BCM) in the 2000-05 model years. Not sure how it's done on the 98 model.

well not sure if the j cars are the same but my 3400 swap uses a 98 monte carlo flash and it uses a discreet 12v request signal from the HVAC control.
