Is there a harness bar I can buy for my Cavalier? (I saw Ian's post about a nice one that being made, but $395? yeesh) So if no harness bar, how can I mount them? thanks

Thanks man. Actually, I just remembered I have a company that I'm 99% sure can fab one up asap. If they do for me I'll have contact info at the Bash.

All he did was fab up some L-shaped brackets and then run a bar across.
ok well i want dimensions. thats seems like a nice way to mount the harnesses and possibly stiffen the car up a bit. plus you can still use the rear seat.
isn't that bar too high?...i thought between 45-90 degrees was the best for mounting...that bar is too high to be safe...

That bar looks sweet I want one!!!
here comes the boost!
Would'nt those L brackets sheer off when your body goes flying forward from 55mph to a dead stop? I think that the bars they make that are like that actually are solid pieces so that something like that does not happen.
Just alittle concerned if someone decides to do it. Not flaming your design.
i just bolted mine to the rear seatbelt bolts...
I just bought the rksport bar, only cost me $100 though in their garage sale

is that actually for harnesses or is it a seat brace?

Here is a pic of my roll bar I just put in, I kinda have a similiar question while the topic is up. How do the harnessess mount onto the bar ?
so with the roll bars (the whole thing, not just one bar) dose that eliminate your rear quartor panels?
In my pics they are out, but I still would have had plenty of room for them. I am just making a custom sub setup back there and I had no need for them. I have the S & W 8 point bar and they will fit with it, dont know about the others.
those roll bars are awesome.
you don't bolt up to the harness bar. You use wrap around installation for the harness

Remember, you shouldn't mount the harness at more than a 90 degree angle...
