the carpet in my truck is dark grey.charcole i would like to make it black, how do i dye it and what brand/type dye do i use?

I assume you mean trunk carpet, I would use duplicolor vynal and fabric dye. It should cover that type of material really well, it will prolly take you 4 or 5 cans of it. Or you could go and buy black replacement carpet and form it to your trunk.

now it says trunk

but personally, id buy black carpet or fabric of some sort, or as mentioned, spray dye would probly do it

where do i gte the black carpet, i can get black sub box carpet but how do i form it to the trunk like the stock one?

Leave the stock formed carpet and glue the new carpet down over it? Actually.. I really like that idea.. I think when I get to the tunk part of my customizing, I'll do that =) The black carpet will look better with the white neon trunk light anyways.
