racing seat bracket help

ok, ive read all the how to's and instructions, but my brackets are just not lining up right for me, and it looks like they will not alot more adjustment to even remotely fit. does anyone know if i can just buy pre-made brackets. the bolt holes on the bottom of the seats match the stock width, but are a few inches shorter. is there any kind of premade brackets that might fit this kind of application? these brackets are pi$$in me off. thanks in advance

Here you are my friend.

It's a write up I did a long time ago when I put my seats in my old car. Though be warned the seats may sit up higer than you personally may prefer.

thanks man, this was one of the main ones i was reading on before i tried my custom brackets. im just curious about 3 things.

1) do the seats sit higher than the stocks would, and if so, roughly how much? because my original plan was to use stock brackets and modify them, but heard about the height.

2)will stock seats ever be able to go back on those brackets after they are modified?

3) what kind of drill bit did you use to drill through that thick metal?

Man I know what your going thru. MIne took me almost all day. Put the seat in take it out and so on, of course I don't have a garage and you know how the weather is around here. I'd say I am at least 1" higher than the stock seat. I used this link and found it to be the easiest. Good luck and stick with it.

Yeah you will definitely need a bit made for steel. I used a titanium bit I found at Home Depot for 5 bucks.

What's everyone doing with the stock seat belt latch? It's normally bolted to the stock sliders.. I'm going through this also.. Trying to find the lowest sitting option, since i'm 6'5"-6'6"...
