iam sure there is a bit of a blue film/paint on the back of the cluter plate when the yellow stock light bulb shines throgh the blue film/paint it makes it look whiter. If you look at an angle at the neddles you can see the yellow light behind it,

the blue film wont make yours look any diff becuase you want to go with blue anyway, buy the LEDs may not light up the cluter evenly becuase the LED light angle is small, the LED shines right in front but the light bulbs light up around it as well. I think that if you use the LEDs the cluster will look brighter infront of them and dim every where else.

i think it would be batter to use a blue bulb or a blue gauge overlay
