Does anyone know of any stores in the Toronto area that would sell these LEDs? Advance or Crappy Tire?
your not gonna find these five bulb LEDS in any store. they are excellent for wide angle lighting
i mean, i really doubt you will. superbrightleds.com is the place to go

ok..i think i got the 2000+figured out..well, im actually working on 2 differnt ways..the easy short way and the RIGHT way..i am gonna need a spare cluster first so if anyone has a junk one..maybe one that has broken gauges or something that could donate
and i also need to hear about the best ways to remove the needles on the 2k+ .. that seems to be a biggy...getting the needles off and getting them back on where they are suppose to be...but that all can be done in due time..if anyone would like me to make the actuall write up though i need a spare cluster..if its a good working cluster you might even get it back with a new color
I've broken LOTS of 2000 clusters... and managed to fix one. But for all the ones I tried to fix, and couldn't.... all I can say is GOOD LUCK!!
The only way to get the needles off is to pull. Use a fork, fingers, upholstery puller, whatever. Some will pull off the pin, leaving the pin in the gearbox. Those are good to go. The ones that pull the pin out of the gearbox.... you broke
I managed to get one cluster... lucky... three came off good, the tach broke. So I pushed the pin back in, all the way... then pulled it out a tiny bit at a time until it started working again. it's kinda choppy movement-wise, but it does work.
Probably not what you wanted to hear, sorry!
...j
ouch..actually thats exactly what i wanted to hear..find a good method to remove the needles without braking them is going to be the key to this..thats why i need a broken cluster to try with first....just like how i found a very easy way to remove the small bulbs in the HVAC WITHOUT braking the bulbs and it only takes 2 seconds to get them out still
soo is there any way of doing this with out having to remove the needles?
2000 z24 Cavalier
doesnt look like it at the moment...but i dont have a cluster to confirm it yet
cool there is one for sale on the classifieds for like 25 bucks.....let me know if you figure it out

doesnt anyone know how to do this on a 91 sunbird??
im assuming it should be similar to the orginal how to in this thread..but ive never actually seen one ..wanna take yours out and let me look at it??
any updates on the 2000+???

They look slightly familiar-
Finally I received #74-B led bulbs for the HVAC it took long, guess the guys at customs were intrigued... now do I have to take out the upper dashboard to replace the hvac bulbs in my 96 Z? BTW this should be a sticky, STICKY,STICKY,STICKY....
Yep it had to come out. It was a pia to get the oem bulbs out, had to push them with a very thin flat screwdriver and pull them with a rubber band wrapped around as someone sugested. Although I would like brighter light in the HVAC. What´s the trick for this with the foil wrap?
yes, take a medium size rubber band, loop it over the bulb and pinch on one side so that there is 1 layer of rubber around it..take needle nose plyers( or equivalent) and lightly squeeze onto the rubber around the bulb...now try to pull on the bulb more than you squeeze for if you squeeze too hard the bulb will shatter all over the place(it doesnt take much) so give it a nice tug or too and it should come out.
why isnt this a sticky yet?
because we havnt figured out the 2000+ yet
i have a friend whos cluster went out..as soon as he gets a new one from vbay im gonna start messin with it and find out the easiest way possible to change the color ok
..unless someone wants to donate one sooner? but i doubt it
