Actually, I think they changed mid-98, when they changed to the digital ODO. IIRC, people have put 98-99 clusters in 95-97 cars and had fuel gauge issues, or vice-versa. Those late 98-99 cars have lots of little changes that were kind of half-way moves to the big changes of 00.

I'm doing a similar layout to Camron's next year or sometime this year. No speedo. I'm not doing a speedo for the sheer fact I just don't want to know how fast I'm going. Camron's is setup for track primarily.

You can also figure out your speed by rpm and what gear your in so I will still drive it on the street.

here is my setup 99-05 have 40ohm empty and 250ohm Full think you have to get a programable gauge not sure if autometer makes one to those specs
98 and older are 0ohms empty and 90 full

i have a 99 but have the 0-90 gauge so right now when my tank is empty it reads 1/2 i have a 96 sender waiting to go in once a get a racetronix fuel pump
