some of these remarks make me ashamed to be a member of this place, you guys could of all said, congrats on the work, but not my taste and given him some ideas, some of which did

ie: remove badges fix the wing and fix the taillights, add mesh et cetera.

I have read every post and just feel so bad for him and ashamed and he has kept an a+ attitude... you guys need t step back for a second and realize hes done more then half of you would think of doing.... remember someday when its done it might be awesome might not...

I congratulate you on the work done. like I said not truly my taste but it DEFINITELY is not the worst car I have ever seen. kinda wicked in a way... hopefully you can keep us updated.

I am also thankful for you keeping an open mind to these comments.

Its always easier to point a finger than to help a guy out. Looks like we have a lot of lazy people on here. Im not going to say anything because its not finished. I think it will look super sweet when it is all done.

You know, I'm reading this now, and yes, it's really harsh. I should have waited until today to post, cuz I was drinking last night. But that's not any excuse.
Now, I would have still said it's @!#$ ugly, but I would have been a little nicer about it.

No, I don't think the car looks good, but...

Yes, I'm sorry for being so blatantly rude in that above post.

I read it again.
I really do apologize. Please don't take that @!#$ for real. I just went off on a tangent that I shouldn't have, and I probably wouldn't have realized exactly what I had done if I hadn't checked the "email me" box.

Allright, i do agree the car is pretty ugly and i think u should have went with one of the "overused" kits probably cuz they're overused for the reason that they look good. I suggest
1. Shaving Everything
2. Repaint a different color, i'm not a fan of gold at all on cars for the most part
3. Put some mesh in the front bumper
4. Remove wing Or if u have to have it, at the least paint the wing, it looks silver in the pics, or white, either way it does not look good with the gold.

The tails look OK tho

Props on being unique, i just suggest looking at the lines first
Re: mustang rear bumper installed, custom tails

yeah, but that doesn't change the fact that it's already been said. I talk a lot of @!#$ on here to people, and 99.9% of it is just in fun, but this one went overboard.

Orlando: Seriously, don't take it to heart man. I don't like it, but it's your car, and you like it. That's the important thing. My opinion shouldn't mean a damn thing to you. Just remember that for future reference, cuz I'm just about always looking for ways to bust someone's balls on here (in fun of course). Sorry dude.

Re: mustang rear bumper installed, custom tails
Sunday, February 13, 2005 2:47 PM
well thanks to everyone that helped out, and the ones that did'nt, thanks either way for looking. and no i have'nt taken any of these remarks to the heart, as you guys have seen. but anyway, yeah I have plans of shaving everything, and I mean everything. The front still needs work, which will be done when I do my 03 headlight conversion. As for the color of my car, I hate it too. The reason I have it that color is because that's the stock color. I just decided to paint my kit gold instead of primering the whole car. even though i dont like this color, i think it looks better than primer. The car will be painted a totally different color, just wait and see, This wont be done until i'm done with the exterior of it, i just don't see the point of painting, then adding a wide body or the mr2 scoops, and having to repaint. The wing is white since it's supposed to match my wheels, but ill do something about it.

UMMmmm sorry man i dont like anything about it. I think lowering it , and putting mest in the giant holes would help a bit. Oh and get rid of that spoiler.

PS: did you tint that back window yourself , cause I have never seen more air bubbles in my life.

Good luck.
Re: mustang rear bumper installed, custom tails

Well I have to say, that car looks alright, I like the rear bumper. The side skirts don't look low enough, and the front bumper, way too big of holes for my taste. But I'd rather no holes in the front personally. But I don't know what you like about that spoiler, it's huge, it's way too big for your car. Even with a widebody, I sitll think that spoiler is going to be huge. Oh well. Anyways good job on the custom work with the kit. But those tail lights need some more work.

Re: mustang rear bumper installed, custom tails
Sunday, February 13, 2005 5:23 PM
I like that rear bumper but the wing really takes away from it and it doesnt flow too well with the rear of the car. Maybe if you did like a molded spoiler or something it would work a little better. I just dont think it looks right with the bumper all custom and everything and then the wing just bolted in the middle of everthing. Now the front I dont agree with but if you got a really aggressive hood I think that would help some. All in all good work man keep it up!

i don't care if i come off like a @!#$... but that front is god aweful.

RICE is a word over used in the car scence. but i can't figure a better word to call this.

"there's only 3 kits for the car around here". my ass! im not even a 3rd gen guy and i know there's more than 3! just because u only know about 3, that don't make it true.

1: buddy club2
2: blitz
3: drift
4: vader
5: import fighter
6: razzi
and on and on and on.

apparently you have internet access. why don't you do some more research on what's taste ful, and whats not.

This post is exactly why i dont post much anymore, some of the comments on here sounds like a bunch of 12 year olds making fun of a crippled kid. Grow the hell up people!!

I'm not sure what to say about the car myself, i need to see better quality high res pictures to form a better opinion. There are some things i like and some i dont, either way its your car, and if your happy at what your doing, more power to ya. I've taken so much @!#$ with my car its pathetic, but you know what, im happy at what im doing, and thats what really matters.

Orlandomon,

I won't rip on you, I will merely say what you are going for is not in my taste. I will say that I have tons of respect for you for doing something on your own (if you did it by yourself) that I know I will never, ever do on my own because frankly I don't have the time with work and school plus the fact that I don't have confidence in my own talents. I give mad props to you for taking your Cavalier and turning it into the creation you want it to be. I am intrigued to see the final product and see how it will differ from what we all see now. To me, that front bumper looks completely empty or has too many bare spaces in it for my taste (then again, I'm not a fan of many front bumpers that has that many excess bare spaces in it). I've never been a fan of aluminum wings (probably because every Cavalier, Civic, Mustang and Eclipse around my area has one of every shape and size on their trunk) but if you like and can make it work, I say make it work. Once again, mad props on what you done so far and I can't wait to see the finished creation.

Orlandomon wrote:I totally understand all of you. if you guys dont like it, great. I mean im not gonna get angry at you for saying my kit is ugly or whatever. But let's analyze some things here:
1. The exterior of car is nowhere near done, not even 1/2.
2. alot of great cars out there were also flamed when they first started doing something different, because people thought it was ugly. Actually, most of the top J's have something done differently, which im sure some people thought was ugly.
3. Most of us here(notice I include myself), are looking at each others cars with the Jbody specs in our mind. Meaning that we know how their body lines go and what will flow with it. But that's exactly it, since we are so familliar with the J's, we can pin point any little mistake, imperfection, or anything that looks out of place in a second. However, most people that are out in the streets dont know jack about our cars, and when they see it, they think it looks bad a$$.alot of people have come up to me and told me that I did a great job.

just something to think about.

reguardless of if its not even half done yet, i still think its hideous, and a bad combo....

Re: mustang rear bumper installed, custom tails

thanks again for the comments. The rear on the red cav is the bomex of off an eclipse. I did not say I made the kit. They do make it, for other cars of course. I just kind of fitted it. As for it needing more work, i am completely aware of that. if you look at the car from the side, everything lines up trust me. I promise ill take better pics as soon as the weather clears and I wash my car. Let's take meckster's car for example, (dont mean to pick on you). I am pretty sure that when meckster started working on his car and doing different things, people flamed him as much as I got flamed (maybe not that much), now alot of people love his car, I know think it's one of the best around here. Now im not saying my car is going to be the greatest cavalier in the world when it is finished, but im hoping i will change at least one mind.

QBE.. thanks man.......... btw, I have CF tails.. pic is old

Orlando, I get the point you are trying to make, but different or unique doesnt make it nice... I could be unique and throw a 4 foot tall aluminum wing on my hood.... doesnt mean it will look nice.
