Here is some pics of my stock hood i'm making an evo hood out of it. Remember this is progress pics and the hood is by no means close to being done.

I put pieces of paper in place to show were the center vents will be . I will also be putting the vents that are on the side.

So i got a fire extinguisher ready so ya's can burn me if ya want LOL

Very nice custom work. Now, I'm no body shop guy, but that's body filler right? Will that be ok for a hood? Just seems like the temp fluctuates a lot near the engine bay. If I'm totally wrong, just ignore me, but I'm just curious.

Yes i have 19 inch AXIS TC MOD's sitting in the corner wating for rubber.

AS far as the heat flux problem. Under the body filler i put to layers of fiber glass matte and resin. But as far as the heat that matte that is under your hood is apparently there to keep the heat of the engine from warping your hood. I could be wrong if so correct me.
greenfire: You dont have to be a fan of the rest of my car. as long as i'am thats all that matters to me LOL

Looks good man, I think you should make it look a bit more agressive (maybe make the indents a bit more pronounced)

Good work nonetheless.

I honestly don't know if there is an Evo hood for the Fires or not... hmmmm

But I'm adding eyelids to my Evo hood right now... Stage 1 was completed tonight So I guess you could say we are tied, but on different parts of the same project... lol

Looks good mark. very nice. But i was wondering if there was an EVO with eyelids on a sunfire anywhere. As far as i know ill be the first to have one with eyelids on a fire. But i could be wrong so dont quote me on that.

Dude that hood is going to look SICK when done. I love it. Gives me ideas for my own hood project I have in the works. Your ride is pretty sweet. Maybe change the front bumper IMO. Maybe to the sunfire bomex front would look pretty sweet.

Good work on the hood, Cant wait to see the finished product.

bad ass bro, i love the way thats coming out. one suggestion- mold in the fenders to the front bumper, it would look really clean that way. and since your at it with the fiberglass and body filler already, you could do it inbetween coats

i think it looks awesome!

although, looking at Mark A's pic...it almost makes me wanna tell you to make the raised up part at more of an angle, instead of just a square shape. also makes me wanna say that the raised up part should be higher...

other than that it looks bad ass.

Yeah i see what you mean as far as the angle. But its close lol
The one on my car kinda matches the width of the opening on the front bumper.

Thanks for the comments everyone Appreciate them all.

I really like the eyelids, they make the fires look soo much better. It really compliments the front end mods you have done. Keep going.
