Cosmo intake installed!

Yay, my first official mod!
Thought I'd share my happiness. I got this off Cosmo Racing. It cost 68 bucks shipped, and I couldnt argue with the price. It sounds great, the install wasnt too bad. Had to squeeze the air sensor in there with some lube. All in all I think it was worth it. Something to tide me over untill I get the cash for the supercharger.

I love packages!

cool, and i love how people spend hundreds of dollars on a stupid intake when one like that does the same exact thing and costs well under a hundred dollars

Pork Chop: That image rocks!

Meckster: My thoughts exactly, Im not saying anyone is dumb for paying hundreds of dollars for an intake, I just dont have that kind of cash.

I found this intake from the performance forum I think. I really wanted the Red intake but they're out of stock for about a month they told me. Good company to work with, they were pretty quick to respond to my questions.

Hey Meck, I ended up having to pay $190 for an Injen intake, since I live in California and at the time, that was the only CARB legal intake. California sucks!

Moose: I was waiting for someone to comment on the cookies, I have two girl scout sisters and the house is full of em. Cookies that is.

TXLD9: Yeah thats a classic but I liked it better when Senior said that line "Fra Gi Le, must be an italian motor" on American Chopper.

Navycav: Yeah I got to cheat a bit, my dads a service manager of a local boat place and one of the mechanics helped me get that sensor in there. The guy kept call me a "Damn hot rodder"

Yes, the intake is just the beginning. Looking into headers and exhaust next but I'll be buying each thing seperatly over the next few months.

Looks JUST like mine

Can't complain, it's functional, and a helluva lot cheaper that my first intake....Weapon-R Dragon Intake (Waste of money)...This is cheap and has more of a gain b/c it actually gets rid of the expansion chamber...

The air sensor is a tight fit...i just pushed it in as far as i could w/ my hand, then put it against the kitchen table to push it in the rest of the way...didn't have to use any lube

Jonathan~ did you look at your t/b butterfly? mine was nasty so i used some carb cleaner on it...I was having a problem with it stalling every now and then when i would tap the gas and let off (kinda hard to explain)...hasn't stalled again yet *knocks on wood*

That intake looks really good and a good price for it too...

Did you notice any gains in power, throttle response, etc.....?
Re: Cosmo intake installed!

I feel gains at higher speeds but for some reason when I went to the track last week, instead of running constant 10.5's on the 8th like I normally do (10.45best) I ran a 10.6 and two 10.7's However my mph at finish hasnt changed.
