Ripping apart project car!!!
Wednesday, April 13, 2005 8:01 PM
Well today Frank, my cousin Justin, and I decided that we needed to get some interior parts out of my project car. So the parts started flying.

Our real goal was to get the big piece of the dash that is around the steering wheel off but you need a steering wheel puller for. We are going to try and make a piece to cover up that piece that always cracks on everyones dash. We got everything else off of the dash and removed the backseat and all the panels back there. The seat belts were a pain to get out. All in all a fun time.

Yeah I will try and keep everyone posted. I might post some more pics tonight. If I can get that steering wheel off but I don't know because I won't get home till 10:30. Oh and spydar, yeah you got to love the ole walmart toolbox. It does wonders. .
After frank and I finish making that fiberglass piece, I'm going to start sanding and fiberglassing some door panels but i need some speakers for the door. Any Suggestions????

hey I am thinking of taking all the seatbelts out and putting racing seats and 5 pt harnesses in. Making it into a 2 seater. I'm going to need a rollcage then right??

Yeah, you could use a roll cage for the seatbelts to attach to. Although, some people say it's not safe and not to do it. I don't know...I've never tried. Gravana carries a few nice roll cages at some good prices: www.gravanatuning.com

just undo the steering colum bolt, and that way u don't have to use a steering wheel puller .

I just take off the centre bolt (under the airbag) and pull hard... just don't smack yourself in the face with the wheel

Pull hard, wiggle side to side... it should come off without a puller. I can do it easy now
