as far as the whole arguing thing goes i say that
IMMITATION IS THE BEST FORM OF FLATTERY
and i know some people are saying that there are too few J options out and this was inevitable, but come on, if you know anything about statistics there are literally millions of configurations for different J bodies than Darren's, including kits, hoods, and color just to name a few aspects
on the other hand if he likes how Darren put together his car, then why not do it. Darren's cavalier has always been on the cusp of perfection in my oppinion, so why not try to be like him. If anyone has been reading his other thread you know Darren has been along for the whole ride, and i doubt if he hated what the guy had done that he would go out and take pictures with him
now darren's car just looks a little aged
but so do i if i stand next to a 18 year old kid, i respect both cars and congrats on getting her out of the booth and finished, still cant wait to see pictures in the sun!

I am on the fence with this. As my car was cloned by some kid in MI or NY,can`t remember. He kept asking for pics and what i had.
Next thing i know i see a post on another site saying "I like this car so mush I copied it"
At first i was flattered, but then I was pissed. Imagine going to a show and seeing a clone of your own ideas, not cool.
Also, I wouldn`t use the word original. Because lots of people befrore Darren had paint,air,wheels,seats etc.
I would be a little more understanding if the guy had never seen his car and it was a fluke. But it was on purpose.
Oh well,everyone is entitled to thier opinion. So flattery or rip off, big deal. @!#$ happens and life goes on.
It's almost to the point where it's impossible to be original in this scene so who cares anymore. Both cars are sexy and both owners are happy. That's all that matters. Keep it up guys.

All I can say is - I really do appreciate all of your highly opinionated comments. I do understand, I felt the same way before but at over the time I started to realize more and more. FYI we work together on other things than just the cars.. I copy him, he copies me.. whatever we like, its like we will impossibly to be only one person to have (anything you name it) in the whole world. Get over it! Money and knowledge gives us choices. Its all cool between me and him anyway, I have lots of respect for him and he does have a lot of respect for me.
