maybe the true cause of failure is dirt....... or maybe thats what makes so much power, the dirt holding the block together. will be interesting to see what numbers you pull when you get it done and all ironed out.

The last pic that I posted was of the engine in the engine bay, sad to report nothing has changed. My oil pump gear shipped out on Monday and should be here by the end of the week. This is what I got for updates.

Trim Pieces Painted Flat Black (matches the rest of the faded trim)

I Figured Why Stop With The Trim, I Wanted Something Different On The Tails Too, Flat Black instead of the Semi-Gloss They Were

Profec Installed (down to the right under the HVAC)

Solenoid In A Nice Spot

The Vac Line of Death

I Had Just Enough Paint To Do The Grill Insert, Going to Pick Up More Today

I honestly didn't think anybody gave a rats ass. With all the "clean up your sh!t" that I've already expressed I'm sick of numerous times in the past. Ken and Shawn get it. Ken thinks it to himself them it's "Meh whateve, it's his car." Shawn has it pretty much nailed, as often as I tear this thing apart it wouldn't stay clean no matter what I did. I make no excuses for it being nasty under the hood, other than it's my car. As I said to Brad in a pm, it'll make xxxhp whether it's clean or dirty.

One more thing, I'm shopping for a new turbo and I've found my new baby...

Not The Exact Picture, but The Stats Are There

Here's the status report:

Oil pump gear to arrive Monday. First startup and initial test drive to be done at that time. Ready for the sad part...

It'll be n/a for the first time since 05. That's the old turbine housing from the turbo I destroyed when the oil pump decided it just couldn't take it anymore. Put a block off plate on it and good to go. New turbo will be here sometime in April.

Well at least it runs and I can get it good and broken in before I put my new turbo on. Which might come a little sooner than previously expected.

IDK..... Impressive build for the most part, I'm just a fan of doing things right, and looking good...... but as said many times, its your car, not ours.

Your intercooler is still smaller then mine was! (30"x12"x3") Although it does look a lot like mine/JR Marks.

Pick up a Turbonetics GT-K series turbo..... would fit right in in that engine bay!

While your at it, maybe make a new turbo manifold. Log mani's are so played out!!!

Come on now Brian, I gotta have something to do next year. Tubular with 44mm Tial already in the works. Turbo is a Precision 6157.

I'll get a vid up of the n/a skunk in the next couple days. I'm sick as hell from pushing so hard and not being able to sleep at night.

My days with Turbonetics parts are numbered. Not because of lack of quality. I think it's just time to try something else.

My buddy is running a GTK-500 on his SRT-4.

Amazing.

I'm not saying the GT-K series is bad. I was actually looking at them sometime ago. I would love to get one, but they are on average about $300 more than the Precisions and I no longer trust the HP ratings on Turbonetics parts. All of the dynos I've watched on youtube with Precision Turbos on the cars, they consistantly hit the max hp rating. I think there was an evo that had a turbo rated at 640 and the car made 679.

I'll be happy to oblige that request...soon as the damn wastegate is fixed...must be stuck open that's why I'm not building any boost .

Yes It's Running, A Lot Better Than Last Year's First Startup
