Lol 75-85 is cool. I just mentioned the lowest so you can get an idea. 75 is what ARP had written on my sheet when I got my studs. I actually did 75 ft lb + a 90* turn. just for good measure

Yah not a fun job at all. I got metal peices/shavings all over the place lol. I figure il do my best to smooth it out and then throw some wrinkle paint on there to hide some of the flaws. Should turn out alright.

very nice!! i actually like the blue head LOL

as for the hassle with ARP, why didnt you just order them from karo? take the 'hassle' out of the equation and go with a tried and true method!

Iv herd tons of good things about Karo as well. I didnt have much luck getting replies to my emails from him, it was december so I understand if he was doing the family thing so I had to go another route. Not a bad experience but waiting was killing me. As it turned out I got them cheaper through ARP directly anyways. Id recommend him for anyone els just because dealing with ARP was horrible. It didnt seem they wanted any buisness.

The blue is a GM blue so I figured why the heck not. Plus it will put some color in my bay instead of being totally black. Do you guys think it will be too much blue if I do my manifold the same color?

Thanks for the kind words

Ohh but I went through Karo and i had the BIGGEST hassle in the world with mine. Not Karo's fault. Stupid ARP sent him 2.3 main studs 3 TIMES!!! for me. Took 2 and a half monts to get my ish right grr.

Lol I may get a little flack for this but my internals are mostly stock. The head has been slightly ported and gasket matched. 2.3 valve springs, and im planning on running the secret cams for now. I want to have everything set up and tuned so when I rebuild my second block with forged internels etc. i will have less issues with tuning and having to worry about leaning out or some kind of disaster with a built bottom end. My idea is to run this for now, possibly a summer ,and build a second block down the road. Then do the 2.3 oil pump swap etc. on my spare. I dunno may seem like a waste of time to some but im ok with doing it this way. Im only planning on running around 8 pounds of boost through this block. Im confident it will get me where I want to be for now and then build a block while I play with this durring the summer.

Scored these last week, for the price I couldnt resist. Some small curb rash on two of them but I figure il have them refinshed and done in genmetal if i do run them. Tires are garbage.

Lol thats funny you have every single hole stuffed with tissue Can't be too careful.

Good job on the PCV port, thats how you do it.

How did you attach your AFPR to the rail? I have the induction dynamics fitting right there and can not find an AN fitting to attach the AFPR directly to that. What did you use?

LOL you can never be too carefull.

The fuel rail had a AN fitting welded onto it to attach the FPR when I got it. Mr Fetter did that, saved me some greif for sure.
